Lit & Little is Here for You and Your Little Ones

Lit & Little was founded by Ralueke Ikejiani-Hayford - a teacher and mother of two under 5 - who has a lot of faith in words and what they do. She is passionate about supporting every child to reach their highest potential. Lit & Little maintains that parents are their children’s first and most influential teachers. Our mission is to support parents in instilling time-sensitive literacy skills in their infants and toddlers between 0 and 3.

Ralueke holds an Honours B.A. in Psychology and English Language and Literature, and a B.Ed. In Elementary Education. She has over a decade of professional experiences in educating learners of diverse ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds. Literacy has a transformative power, impacting every facet of a persons life, and it is this knowledge has guided Ralueke’s teaching practice, her parenting, and has driven her efforts to create a means through which our littlest learners can have literacy rich experiences at the time that they need them the most.

Lit & Little is Here for the Community

We are on a mission to make exceptional early literacy experiences standard for all children. We believe that access to high-quality children’s books, and growing, learning and playing in literacy rich environments is a need and fundamental right for every child. That's why for every Lit Book Box purchase we will donate a book (or the equivalent value in funding) to non-profit, community-based organizations that support early literacy initiatives. That is why we advocate for parent and caregiver education, early intervention and exceptional literacy education made accessible for all of our little ones.
